Homeless Outreach Team (H.O.T.)
Harris County Constable Precinct 2

The Harris County Precinct 2 Homeless Outreach Team (H.O.T.) was created in 2021. The team's mission is to improve the quality of life for residents in Precinct 2 by providing a professional, humane, and safe response to individuals with behavioral health problems and those experiencing homelessness. It is the team's goal to build proactive relationships by connecting homeless individuals with service providers within the surrounding area. The law enforcement community continues to explore best practices for taking care of the homeless population and with H.O.T. in place, the program will allow for new strategies that are vital to the homeless population by reconnecting them to supportive community resources, allowing for assistance with housing, nutrition, medical and mental health care.

St. Luke has partenered up with the Precinct 2 Homeless Outreach Team to carry out our primary mission of caring for those who are in most need of our help.
