Threads of Healing reaches out to Uvalde families
St. Luke the Evangelist Threads of Healing was contacted by a nonprofit organization through CT Church, New Caney. The goal of the Uvalde project was to provide support to the families of the 19 children and two teachers whose lives were tragically taken last May at Robb Elementary School. Threads of Healing Ministry members agreed without hesitation. Threads of Healing is assisting by donating a prayer quilt to each of the 21 families in memory of their loved one.
After several hard-working weeks, the quilts were completed and were on display in the Social Hall for the St. Luke Community to view on October 23, 2022. They brought tears to many who viewed them. The prayer quilts and gifts donated by other supporters were delivered to the families on November 12 in Uvalde.
Father of Compassion and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, we lift up to you the innocent victims and families in this time of heavy affliction.
