On July 11th & 12th we had the pleasure of welcoming our new Parochial Vicar Fr. Alvaro Interanio. Fr. Alvaro was born in El Salvador in 1981. Soon afterwards, his family moved to New York, before making Houston their home in 1990. While attending Texas A&M University, he experienced a conversion of faith and entered St. Mary’s Seminary two years later. He credits St. Teresa of Avila, St. Maximilian Kolbe and St. John Paul II as having the greatest influence on how he lives his faith. Prior to his ordination on June 2, 2012, Fr. Alvaro was assigned to St. Laurence for his year of pastoral formation. Fr. Alvaro comes to us from St. Francis de Sales were he served as Parochial Vicar. We are delighted to welcome Fr. Alvaro to our parish family and look forward to working and worshiping with him. Welcome Father!
