Hilda C. Sustaita

Grief Support Ministry Lead

Hilda earned her Bachelor/Masters of Science at the University of Houston. She served as an instructor, department chair and program coordinator in Cosmetology for 32 years before retirering. Hilda has also owened her own business. She was recipient of several awards including; Federation of Houston Professional Women, Woman of Excellence, 2006 | HCC Chancellor’s Medallion, 2000 |N.I.S.O.D Excellence Award, 1999 | West Houston Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year, 1999.

Hilda retired to care for her ailing husband of over fifty five years. After his death, Hilda discerned the call of becoming a grief councelor so that she could help others work through their feelings of the loss of a loved one.
