To this day the love, dedication, sacrifice and hard work of our founding members are evident. Sadly, most of the physical things they built are crumbling. An independent assessment by a professional firm estimated that it would cost more than $5.6 million to bring the Hall Road plant up to minimum standards. The sad thing is, that would not fix the problems, just the symptoms. An engineer pointed out that the design of the church roof retains water rather than shedding it, the church is lower than the rest of the buildings therefore every time it rains water rushes into the church and many other serious issues. The only way to truly fix the buildings at our campus is to tear them all down and start over with a new design.
The goal that we are working towards is to build a multi-purpose building and completely move to the Riverstone Ranch Drive campus. We cannot afford to keep patching buildings that cannot be fixed. It’s painfully obvious that we have to build. Let us ask St. Joseph, husband of Mary and foster-father of Jesus, to help us build the new home he wants us to have.
On August 17, 2012 at approximately 9:50am, heavy duty equipment came in and started clearing the land on our new campus at 1750 Riverstone Ranch! The first building to be constructed on our new 20 acre campus was dedicated and blessed the "Cenacle Learning Center" on May 24, 2014. For those of you that had a hand in making St. Luke the Evangelist what it is today, you are being called to do this once again. For everyone else, it is our time now to give of our time, talent and financial resources and help turn an empty piece of land into the new St. Luke the Evangelist and extend Christ's mission even further!
