Statue of Mary

Although we are no longer looking to make any major repairs to the Hall Rd Campus, the KCs helped us by making some minor repairs to the concrete around the statue of the Virgin Mary in the courtyard, to help make the area safer for all who visit with her! Thank you to our KC and others for their assistance in helping us maintain our campus.

HISTORY:
Purchased through Sacco and imported from Italy, the statue of Mary was gifted to St. Luke by the KCs in August of 1988. Then in November 1988, the statue was later officially installed in the Courtyard. The statue was originally placed in the courtyard, closer to one of the side entrances to the church then later moved to a more accessible part of the courtyard, where our community has prayed with her ever since! A member of the original council who campaigned to have the statue brought in, stated that every time he sees someone praying with our Blessed Mother, it warms his heart!
