On Sunday, February 21st, we ended the day serving 359 meals. In total, Friday-Sunday, we served 1,207 meals! We had an abundance of food donated that we were not able to use with for the meals we prepared, however, we sent two shipments of food to the homeless in our area via the Constable Precinct 2 Homeless Taskforce Division and on Monday, February 22, we loaded Mike Work’s truck and shared some food with Mission of Yahweh, who serve homeless women & children. Thank you to all who donated (money/food/supplies), our wonderful volunteers, Knights of Columbus, Catholic Daughters and especially to our three team leads Elia Lopez (Kitchen Lead), Richard Valdez (Distribution Line & Traffic Control) and Veronica Garza (Donations Drop Off). None of this would have been possible without you ALL! Lone Star Seafood (shopping center on Fuqua - Bravos/Goodwill) went out of their way to support our efforts. They opened their restaurant right before COVID-19 shut everything down. Let’s show them some support. Look at what we accomplished together. We Are St. Luke!
