WHAT IS THE LEGION OF MARY?
It is a worldwide apostolic organization of lay people in the Catholic Church with well over 2 million active members in over 170 countries. It was founded by Frank Duff in Dublin, Ireland on September 7, 1921 and celebrated its Centennial in 2021. It has been active in the United States since 1931, has been approved by many popes including St. Pope John Paul II, and endorsed by the Second Vatican Council.

The primary purpose of the Legion of Mary is the sanctification of its members through prayer, the sacraments and devotion to Mary and the Holy Trinity, and of the whole world through the apostolate of the Legion..

HOW DO I JOIN THE LEGION OF MARY?
Active membership is open to all Catholic men and women 18 years of age and over. Young men and women under the age of 18 are welcome to join the Junior Legion of Mary.
Interested in becoming a Legionary and being part of Mary's army? Join us on Monday evenings at 6:00PM or Friday mornings at 10:00AM in Room 5 of the Education Building.
