Holy Saturday is a night of vigil (a watch formerly kept on the night before a religious feast with prayer or other devotion: a period of wakefulness) for the Lord. It is a memorial of the holy night of Christ's resurrection as on this night the Church awaits the Lord's resurrection and celebrates it with the Sacrament of Christian Initiation. During this celebration we also light our Paschal Candle. Holy Saturday is a day spent in quiet thoughtfulness.
In Stillness the Earth awaits the resurrection.
