Below is some information that will help our celebration go a lot smoother with everyone's cooperation. We have moved the bouncers and children's activity area closer to the main tent to save everyone from having to walk all the way to the other end of the street. However, in doing so we now have to block the street off after the first school parking lot and close the entrance/exit to the second parking lot for safety reasons. (Please refer to maps on the left column)
Things to keep in mind:
• Bring your chair & shovel!
• If mosquitos just LOVE you…bathe in mosquito repellant before you come (LOL) bring some with you for extra measure. We will also have some on site to share with you at the First aid tents and scattered around. Because much of the area has been cleared there are not that many out there.
• Carpool! Carpool! Carpool!
• If you have a vehicle that can clear a curb easily, then please park in the area designated on the map.
• Use the Bus Shuttle if you can, please!
• Do not park in the bus turn around area because the bus will not be able to make it’s scheduled runs. We also need that area clear in case there is an emergency and we need to call in an ambulance or emergency vehicle.
• If you come early (before 2:30pm when 2nd parking lot will be closed off) and park in the volunteer area, be ready to stay until the end. We will not open that area up until the majority of the cars have cleared out (will not be opened before 8:30pm).
• If you signed up to help, don’t forget to show up at your designated time so that everyone can get to enjoy the day. If you did not sign up for anything but would like to help. Just look for one of us wearing the green vests, we will gladly put you to work!
• We will have a drop off area for people who have difficulty walking. We also have scheduled two vehicles to help people get around easier.
• Wear cool clothing and sensible closed toe shoes. The land has been cleared and leveled but is still rocky & rooty. LOL
• I have already checked with the club house and they will be having events scheduled all day, so absolutely no parking in their parking lot.
• Please let's be good neighbors and DO NOT park on the grass on the school grounds.
• If you ordered a shirt and have not yet received it, don’t worry they are being prepared right now and will be available for you on Saturday.
• Set up team will meet at the new property at 8:30am in the morning. If you have already spoken to me about donating a generator or large fan please meet us up there at 8:30am.
• LABEL EVERYTHING WITH YOUR NAME!!!! Whether it is your chair or shovel, or a donated item you wish to get back.
• Because of limited space, if you have the narrower folding chairs at home please bring those. It will help with spacing for the Mass service. There will be lines to help guide where you can place your chair as well as two chairs to mark the ends of the rows. Ushers will be there to also help guide us in chair placement. The back of your chair is what is supposed to line up with guide line.
• There will be Event Staff Personnel wearing bright green vests that will have radios if there is an emergency or assistance is needed.
• PLEASE recycle your EMPTY soda cans & Water Bottles in the designated receptacles.
• Be good stewards and help keep the grounds clean as you go through the day having fun and enjoying each other’s company.
I hope this helps clear up some of the questions you all might have. Please pass this information along to as many people as you can so that we can limit the amount of confusion.
Sure there might be some things that we will have to deal with, but don’t let that keep you away. This will only happen once!!!
