1975-2020
Join us as we celebrate 45 years of service!
Our parish has reached a milestone in its history: we have been servicing this community since 1975! It was founded with much love and sacrifice by a little over 500 families under the guidance of Fr. Jesse Judice.
We, as a community, rely entirely upon the grace and will of God and the faith He gives to our members to sustain the work of the Church in our parish. We as a parish community trust in the Lord that if we do our part and give of ourselves, He will sustain us and help us to prosper.
Our philosophy as a parish is rooted firmly in faith and the belief that if we give to God whatever we can as a sacrifice of love and praise, we will always receive more than what we give. We truly take to heart James 2:24 & 26, "See how a person is justified by works and not by faith alone…for just as a body without a spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead."
Our Pastoral, Stewardship, and Finance Councils, were established to work in a collaborative process to set new and greater goals for the future of our parish and our community, as we assess the needs of our people now and for the years to come. As a community, we can decide courses of action to take to meet those needs so our parish will be justified by works and not by faith alone.
So as we look ahead with expectancy and hope, we know that God is with us and that through Him, with Him, and in Him, all things can be accomplished according to His will. Happy 45th Anniversary St. Luke. Together we are here for our parish, we are here for our community…We Are St. Luke!
St. Luke has always welcomed people to come and partake in its hospitality, services, liturgy, formation, and much more. However, with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have had to rethink how we can continue to evangelize and care for not only our parishioners but the community at large.
In a relatively short period, we readjusted by live-streaming our Masses, starting virtual prayer groups, offering many of our Adult & Youth formation programs online, and much more. St. Luke the Evangelist was able to evangelize and service the people of God beyond the walls of the sanctuary where we worship, beyond the walls of our buildings where we learn about our faith, comfort each other, and celebrate our accomplishments. We look forward to the time when we will be able to gather as we used to, but know that we will never be the same. The pandemic has caused us to move in a new direction and we look forward to our future as we emerge stronger and better than ever. We Are St. Luke!
¡Somos San Lucas!
