What a crazy, but exciting but exciting year we had in 2022, yet we managed to continue to serve our parishioners and our community through our many ministries/groups/organizations. Our Faith Formation programs (youth & adult) welcoming/serving people from all around our community and our Life Teen Ministry growing bigger and stronger than ever. On top of all that, we kicked off our capital campaign and have set a goal for us to be completely moved to our Riverstone Ranch Campus by 2025. What an exciting time for St. Luke! Let us look towards 2023 with enthusiasm for all the good works that we can accomplish in Jesus’ name.
My Prayer for Us This YearHappy New Year St. Luke!
What does it mean to be filled with something? To be filled with something is to be in its grasp. To have that thing become the controlling influence in our mood, actions and behavior. We can allow ourselves to be filled with sorrow, anger, jealousy, but we can also be filled with joy, love, and laughter. My prayer for this coming year, is for us to be God-filled, to be filled with the fullness of God! For God to be the controlling influence at any and all given moments in our lives. Governing our feelings, desires, thoughts, hopes, relationships, words, actions, reactions, calendar, check book, etc. Although we may be hangry, sad, lonely, hurt and all those feelings that we go through throughout the year, that we may not allow these emotions to control us. That we may continue to walk in the fullness of God. Let us be conscious of and surrender to God’s presence, strength, holiness, spiritual authority, mercy and love.
Qué año tan loco pero emocionante tuvimos en 2022, sin embargo, logramos continuar sirviendo a nuestros feligreses y nuestra comunidad a través de nuestros muchos ministerios/grupos/organizaciones. Nuestros programas de Formación en la Fe (jóvenes y adultos) dan la bienvenida y sirven a personas de toda nuestra comunidad y nuestro Ministerio LifeTeen crece más grande y más fuerte que nunca. Además de todo eso, iniciamos nuestra campaña capital y nos fijamos la meta de mudarnos por completo a nuestro campus de Riverstone Ranch para 2025. ¡Qué época tan emocionante para San Lucas! Miremos hacia el 2023 con entusiasmo por todas las buenas obras que podemos realizar en el nombre de Jesús.
Mi oración para nosotros este año
¿Qué significa estar lleno de algo? Estar lleno de algo es estar a su alcance. Hacer que esa cosa se convierta en la influencia controladora en nuestro estado de ánimo, acciones y comportamiento. Podemos permitirnos estar llenos de tristeza, ira, celos, pero también podemos estar llenos de alegría, amor y risa. ¡Mi oración para este año que viene es que seamos llenos de Dios, que seamos llenos de la plenitud de Dios! Para que Dios sea la influencia controladora en todos y cada uno de los momentos de nuestras vidas. Gobernando nuestros sentimientos, deseos, pensamientos, esperanzas, relaciones, palabras, acciones, reacciones, calendario, chequera, etc. Aunque estemos hambrientos, tristes, solos, heridos y todos esos sentimientos por los que pasamos a lo largo del año, es posible que no permitamos que estas emociones nos controlen. Para que podamos seguir caminando en la plenitud de Dios. Seamos conscientes y rindámonos a la presencia, fuerza, santidad, autoridad espiritual, misericordia y amor de Dios.
