I was born June 20, 1981 in Santa Ana, El Salvador to Carlos & Julia Interiano. I am their second son. We lived there for 4 years but because of the unstable situation, we moved to New York thereafter. We lived in Staten Island for 4 years, where I learned English and came to know and love the American culture. I have many fond memories of visiting the Big Apple.
Then we moved to Houston in 1989 where I attended St. Cecilia Middle School. I then attended Strake Jesuit, where I participated in Track & Cross Country. I began having an interest in helping people by listening, so I went to Texas A&M and majored in Psychology. It was there that at the end of my junior year in 2002 that I had a conversion. I met Jesus, began practicing my Catholic faith, one that I had grown distant from since childhood. I began reading all types of spiritual books, the scripture, and lives of the saints. Pretty soon I began feeling a call to the priesthood.
I entered the seminary in 2005 after having attended Graduate School for Counseling at U of H. I experienced both, many beautiful things and many trials in the seminary. Seven years later, I was ordained a priest, and was assigned to St. Francis de Sales for 3 years. Now, I am very happy to be with you at St. Luke to begin all that God has for me here.
